Mary Dirty Face Farm began planting their 5½ acre diversified orchard in 2009 in southern Dunn County in western Wisconsin, and continued planting over the next five years. Their farm now includes several species of tree fruit, berries, and table grapes -- see What They Grow for a complete list and schedule. MDFF began marketing fruit and some specialty vegetables in 2011, though their production was still very small. In 2013 some of their early plantings started to reach maturity, and they expected their harvest to increase each year. In 2016, MDFF began planting a 2nd orchard block, with several hundred apple trees -- more of their tried and true varieties, as well as heirloom and cider apples. Since then, they have gradually replaced old plantings and added a few more berries!
